Barriere Lake Logging Struggle
A report for CUTV News on the current struggle of Barriere Lake Algonquins to protect their forest against logging operations.
For the last two weeks members of the Algonquin First Nation of Barriere Lake, five hours north of Montreal, have been camped out in opposition to illegal cutting on their land. Police intervention has been heavy, including riot police sent up from Montreal to guarantee uninterrupted logging operations for Resolute Forest Products.
Report by Neal Rockwell and David Koch for CUTV News.
